Linda's interest in painting began at 10 years old after winning First Place in a coloring contest of a major department store. Although self-taught, she advanced her knowledge of painting primarily from her artist mother, Ada German, and being around artists, and many art shows and events.
Linda lived for a time in Europe where observation in art galleries and churches in England and Belgium gave her a whole new appreciation for the techniques of the Old Masters. She says, “There is nothing like the experience of up-close personal observation.”
Prior to moving to Idaho, Linda was a member of Arizona’s West Valley Arts Council and also served in several positions of a local art league. Linda is currently a member of Coeur d' Alene Art Association.
